Manage Microsoft Subscriptions in Windows 11
Windows 11 allows you to centralize account management directly through its native interface. This guide explains how to view, manage, and modify your linked Microsoft services, cloud storage quotas, and active subscriptions—such as Microsoft 365 and Xbox Game Pass—using the dedicated Accounts settings menu in Windows 11.
Accessing the Accounts Dashboard
To begin managing your linked services:
- Open the Start Menu and click the
Settings gear icon (or press
Win + I). - In the left-hand navigation pane, select Accounts.
- At the top of the main pane, you will see a summary of your active Microsoft account, including your OneDrive cloud storage status, Microsoft Rewards balance, and active subscription banners.
Managing Subscriptions (Microsoft 365 & Xbox)
Windows 11 integrates subscription details directly into the Settings app:
- From the Accounts menu, locate the Subscriptions section or click on the Microsoft 365 / Xbox Game Pass card near the top.
- Review your subscription details, including the renewal date, payment method, and cloud storage allocation.
- Click the Manage or Manage account button next to your subscription. This action opens your default browser and automatically directs you to your Microsoft account dashboard, where you can upgrade plans, change payment methods, or cancel recurring billing.
Managing Linked Email and App Accounts
If you use multiple accounts for work, school, or personal applications:
- Go to Settings > Accounts.
- Select Email & accounts.
- Under Accounts used by email, calendar, and contacts, select Add account to link a new service.
- Under Accounts used by other apps, click on any listed account to modify its sign-in preferences or select Remove to unlink it from Windows apps.
Monitoring OneDrive and Cloud Storage
- Go to Settings > Accounts.
- Check the storage meter under your profile name to see total OneDrive usage.
- Select the OneDrive panel to view a breakdown of storage across Outlook attachments and OneDrive files, or click Manage to purchase additional storage.
