How to Flash Screen for Audio Alerts in Windows 11

Windows 11 includes built-in accessibility features designed to provide visual alternatives to standard audio notifications. This guide explains how to enable and customize the screen flashing feature, allowing you to flash the title bar, the active window, or the entire display whenever a system alert or sound occurs.

Steps to Enable Screen Flashing for Audio Alerts

1. Open Settings: Press Windows Key + I on your keyboard, or right-click the Start button and select Settings.
2. Navigate to Accessibility: In the left sidebar, click on Accessibility.
3. Select Audio: In the right pane, scroll to the Hearing section and click on Audio.
4. Configure the Flash Setting: Look for the option labeled Flash my screen during audio notifications.
5. Choose a Visual Alert Style: Click the drop-down menu next to the setting and select one of the following options:
   • Never (Default setting; disables the visual effect)
