How to Calibrate Stylus Accuracy in Windows 11

Calibrating your digitized stylus on Windows 11 ensures that your pen strokes, taps, and drawings align precisely with the cursor on your screen. If your digital pen feels misaligned, offset, or unresponsive near the edges of your display, Windows 11 includes a built-in calibration tool located in the legacy Control Panel designed specifically to fix digitized pen and touch input accuracy.

Step 1: Open Tablet PC Settings

1. Press the Windows Key on your keyboard or click the Start button.
2. Type Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input into the search bar.
3. Select the matching Control Panel result to open the Tablet PC Settings window.

Step 2: Run the Pen Calibration Tool

1. In the Tablet PC Settings window, locate the Display options section.
2. If you are using multiple monitors, select the specific display corresponding to your touchscreen or graphics tablet from the Display drop-down menu.

2. Under the Details section, click the Reset button (this button will only be clickable if custom calibration data exists).
3. Confirm the reset when prompted by clicking Yes.

Tips for Best Accuracy

• Calibrate in Your Preferred Orientation: If you frequently use your device in portrait mode, calibrate the screen while holding it in portrait orientation. You can calibrate separately for both landscape and portrait modes.
• Keep Native Resolution: Ensure your display is set to its recommended native resolution in Settings > System > Display before running the calibration tool.
