Create Windows 11 USB with Media Creation Tool

This guide provides a straightforward walkthrough on creating a bootable Windows 11 USB flash drive or ISO file using Microsoft’s official Media Creation Tool. By following these steps, you will prepare the necessary installation media to perform a clean install or upgrade of Windows 11 on any compatible computer.

Prerequisites

Before getting started, ensure you have: * A stable internet connection. * A Windows PC. * A blank USB flash drive with at least 8 GB of storage capacity (all existing data on the drive will be permanently erased).

Step 1: Download the Media Creation Tool

  1. Go to the official Microsoft Windows 11 download page.
  2. Scroll down to the Create Windows 11 Installation Media section.
  3. Click the Download Now button to download the setup file (mediacreationtool.exe).

Step 2: Run the Tool and Accept Terms

  1. Locate the downloaded file on your computer and run it as an administrator.
  2. When the User Account Control (UAC) prompt appears, click Yes.
  3. On the Applicable notices and license terms screen, read the terms and click Accept.
