Palm rejection on Windows 11 tablets prevents the touchscreen from registering accidental inputs from your hand while writing or drawing with an active stylus. While Windows 11 does not feature a universal “sensitivity slider” for palm detection, you can effectively configure and optimize palm rejection using native Windows Ink settings, handedness orientation, and device-specific driver utilities.

Enable Native Pen Palm Rejection in Settings

The most effective way to eliminate accidental touches is to tell Windows to ignore all finger and palm touches whenever your stylus is near the screen.

1. Open Settings by pressing Windows + I.
2. Select Bluetooth & devices from the left sidebar.
3. Click on Pen & Windows Ink.
4. Click on Additional pen settings to expand the menu.
5. Check the box next to Ignore touch input when I’m using my pen.

Windows uses your hand preference to predict the angle and area where your palm will rest on the display.

Setting this correctly ensures the operating system ignores touch data in the specific quadrant where your palm naturally rests.
