Install a PWA to Your Home Screen or Dock from Safari

Installing a PWA to the iPhone or iPad Home Screen

Adding a PWA to your iOS or iPadOS device allows the website to function like a native app, complete with its own icon and full-screen experience.

1. Open the Safari browser on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Navigate to the website you want to install as a PWA.
3. Tap the Share button (the square icon with an upward-pointing arrow) located at the bottom of the screen on iPhone, or at the top right of the screen on iPad.
4. Scroll down through the share menu options and tap Add to Home Screen.
5. Enter a custom name for the app if you wish to change the default title.
6. Tap Add in the top right corner of the menu.

The web app will now appear on your Home Screen. Tap the icon to launch it independently of the main Safari browser.

Installing a PWA to the Mac Dock

If you are using a Mac running macOS Sonoma or later, Safari allows you to turn any website into a web app that lives directly in your Dock.

The PWA is now installed on your Mac. It will immediately appear in your Dock, and you can also find it in your Applications folder or open it using Spotlight Search. When launched, it will run in its own dedicated window with a simplified toolbar.
