Configuring a stream delay only takes a few moments. Follow these steps to set your custom delay time:
Open OBS Studio Settings
Launch OBS Studio on your computer. In the bottom-right corner of the screen, click on the Settings button. Alternatively, you can click on File in the top menu bar and select Settings from the dropdown menu.Navigate to the Advanced Tab
Inside the Settings window, look at the sidebar menu on the left. Click on the Advanced tab located near the bottom of the list.Locate the Stream Delay Section
Scroll down the Advanced settings page until you find the section labeled Stream Delay.Enable and Configure the Delay

- In the Duration field, enter the number of seconds
you want to delay your stream. For example, if you want a 30-second
delay, enter
30. For a 5-minute delay, enter300. - (Optional) Toggle the Preserve cutoff point (increase delay) option. When enabled, this feature prevents viewers from losing footage if your stream temporarily disconnects and reconnects.
Save Your Changes
Click the Apply button in the bottom-right corner, and then click OK to close the Settings window.
