Renaming scenes helps you identify your camera angles, game captures, and transitions quickly during a live broadcast.

  1. Locate the Scenes dock, which is typically found in the bottom-left corner of the OBS Studio interface.
  2. Left-click on the scene you want to rename to highlight it.
  3. Right-click the highlighted scene to open the context menu.

Removing unused scenes declutters your interface and reduces the risk of accidentally switching to an empty or outdated layout.

  2. Left-click on the scene you wish to delete to select it.
  3. Use one of the following three methods to remove it:
    • Click the Minus icon (-) located at the bottom of the Scenes dock.
    • Right-click the scene and select Remove from the context menu.
    • Press the Delete key on your keyboard.
  4. A confirmation prompt will appear asking if you are sure you want to remove the scene. Click Yes to permanently delete it.
