Apply 3D LUT to Logitech Webcam in OBS Studio
Color grading your webcam feed can drastically improve your live stream’s visual quality. This guide provides a direct, step-by-step walkthrough on how to apply a 3D Lookup Table (LUT) to your Logitech webcam within OBS Studio, allowing you to achieve a professional, cinematic look with ease.
Step 1: Prepare Your LUT File
Before starting, ensure you have a compatible LUT file saved on your computer. OBS Studio natively supports both .cube files (the industry standard for 3D LUTs) and specific PNG-based LUT strips.
Step 2: Add Your Logitech Webcam to OBS Studio
- Open OBS Studio.
- Locate the Sources dock at the bottom of the screen.
- Click the + (Add) icon and select Video Capture Device.
- Name your source (e.g., “Logitech Webcam”) and click OK.
- In the properties window, select your Logitech camera from the Device dropdown menu, configure your preferred resolution and frame rate, then click OK.
Step 3: Open the Filters Menu
- Right-click on your Logitech webcam source in the Sources list (or right-click the webcam feed directly in the preview window).
- Select Filters from the context menu. This will open a new configuration window.
Step 4: Add the Apply LUT Filter
- In the Filters window, locate the Effect Filters section in the bottom-left corner.
- Click the + (Add) icon at the bottom of this section.
- Select Apply LUT from the list of available effects.
- Give the filter a name if prompted, then click OK.
Step 5: Locate and Load Your LUT
- In the filter properties on the right side of the window, look for the Path field.
- Click the Browse button.
- Navigate to the folder on your computer where your
.cubeor PNG LUT file is stored. - Select the file and click Open.
Step 6: Adjust the LUT Intensity
- Locate the Amount slider directly below the file path.
- Drag the slider to adjust the intensity of the color grade. A value
of
1.00applies the LUT at 100% strength, while lower values blend the LUT with your webcam’s original colors. - Once you are satisfied with the color grading, click Close at the bottom-right of the Filters window.
