Rename Clips in Kdenlive Without Changing Source Files

Organizing your media assets is a crucial part of video editing, and Kdenlive allows you to change how a clip is labeled in your project without modifying the actual file on your computer. Step 1: Locate the Clip in the Project Bin

Open your Kdenlive project and navigate to the Project Bin panel, which is typically located in the top-left area of the default workspace. This panel lists all the video, audio, and image assets currently imported into your project.

Step 2: Select and Rename the Clip

There are two quick methods to rename your clip within the interface:

• Keyboard Shortcut (Recommended): Click on the clip you want to rename to select it, and press F2 on your keyboard.
