How to Use Kdenlive Color Picker on Project Monitor

This guide provides a straightforward, step-by-step walkthrough on how to use the built-in Color Picker tool in Kdenlive to sample precise pixel hues directly from the Project Monitor. You will learn how to select any color from your video preview and immediately apply it to your effects, transitions, titles, or backgrounds.

Step 1: Open an Effect or Tool with a Color Parameter

To use the Color Picker, you must first select an effect or generator that requires a color input. * Drag an effect (such as Chroma Key (Simple), Color Selection, or Lift/Gamma/Gain) onto your timeline clip. * Alternatively, open the Title Clip editor or create a new Color Clip.

Step 2: Locate the Eyedropper Icon
