How to Use Audio Scrubbing in Kdenlive

Enabling Audio Scrubbing in Kdenlive

Before you can use audio scrubbing, you must ensure the feature is activated in your project timeline.

Open your project in Kdenlive.
Go to the top menu bar and click on Timeline.
Look for Scrub Audio in the drop-down menu.
If it is not checked, click on it to enable it. (You can also toggle this feature on and off using the default keyboard shortcut Shift + Caps Lock on most systems).

Utilizing the Playhead to Find Dialogue Cues

Once the feature is enabled, Kdenlive will play short bursts of audio corresponding to the frames your cursor passes over.

Zoom In on the Timeline: For precise editing, zoom in closely on the audio track containing the dialogue. You can do this by holding Ctrl and scrolling up with your mouse wheel, or by dragging the zoom slider at the bottom right of the Kdenlive interface.
