Image Collage Studio processes all pixels right in your browser memory using HTML5 Canvas 2D and typed Uint8ClampedArray pixel buffers. It performs edge-detected seed flood-filling, perceptual RGB Euclidean distance calculating, and anti-aliased alpha feathering without ever uploading your personal photos to an external server.
The background removal tool inspects pixel colors along the boundary of the selected image. It performs a flood-fill algorithm that measures the Euclidean delta-E color distance between adjacent pixels and the detected background hue, replacing matched pixels with transparent alpha while softening edges with an anti-aliasing feathering step.
The studio provides multiple algorithmic layout generators including Free Scatter (randomized organic angles and distributed positions), Polaroid Snapshots (white photograph borders with casual rotations), Masonry Grid (structured columns with auto-spacing), Radial Burst, and Film Ribbon arrangements.
Click the "Save JSON" button in the navigation header to export a serialized JSON document containing your canvas size, background settings, image layers, positions, scale, angles, and transparent cutouts. Use the "Load JSON" button anytime to re-hydrate the full workspace with all layers intact.
No. All photo ingestion, scaling, layout randomization, and background removal algorithms execute strictly client-side within your browser window using standard web technologies. Your private photos never leave your personal computer or mobile device.
Yes. The Layer Stack panel and Item Properties toolbar offer Up and Down layer reordering controls. You can also click directly on items in the visual layer list to focus any element, or use keyboard shortcuts to reorder elements and build complex dimensional collages.
Click the "Export High-Res" button in the upper right. The application renders all collage elements at crisp full canvas resolution onto an off-screen buffer, captures all shadow and polaroid treatments, and generates a downloadable high-density PNG file.
Yes. The entire canvas and upload dropzone accept drag-and-drop actions for standard image formats including PNG, JPEG, WEBP, and GIF. Multiple files can be dropped simultaneously to quickly populate your project.
When you select the Wand Pick tool in the Background Removal Studio, tapping any point on the preview sampling canvas targets that specific color. It then isolates and erases matching continuous areas based on your chosen Color Tolerance and Feathering sliders.
