Select Audio from Cursor to End in Audacity

Selecting audio from the current cursor position to the end of a track or project in Audacity allows you to quickly edit, apply effects, or delete unwanted sections without manually dragging across the timeline. Method 1: The Keyboard Shortcut (Fastest)

  1. Click on the audio track where you want the selection to begin to position the cursor.
  2. Press Shift + K on your keyboard (or Shift + End on Windows/Linux).
  3. Audacity will instantly highlight all audio from your cursor position to the end of the audio clip or track.

Method 2: Using the Application Menu

If you prefer using the graphical interface rather than shortcuts:

  1. Click on the waveform to place your cursor at the desired starting point.
  2. Navigate to the top menu bar and click Select.
  3. Hover over Region.
  4. Click Cursor to End (or Cursor to Track End depending on your Audacity version).

Selecting Across All Tracks to the End

If your project contains multiple tracks and you want to select everything from the cursor to the end across the entire project:

  1. Place the cursor at your desired starting point on any track.
  2. Go to Select > Region > Cursor to End (or press Shift + K).
