How to Create White Noise Bursts in Audacity
White noise bursts are essential components in modern sound design, frequently used to add punch to drum transients, create synthesized percussive elements, or build dramatic cinematic impacts. This guide covers how to generate raw white noise in Audacity, shape it into tight, controlled bursts using amplitude shaping tools, filter the frequency spectrum, and export the finished audio for transient layering in your projects.
Step 1: Generate the Raw White Noise
- Open Audacity and create a new project.
